White Bean Hummus

For a healthy and tasty dip or spread this White Bean Hummus is perfect for any occasion. This is not a traditional hummus since garbanzo beans or tahini are not a part of the ingredients list. However, the white beans create a smooth and creamy texture with a tart bite from the lemon juice. The flavors all work well together and the taste is quite addicting. The best part is that you don't have to pull out the food processor unless you want to and the use of canned beans make this convenient to whip together in a pinch. A spoon is all you need to mash the ingredients together. Great appetizer or snack.

Enjoy this with whole wheat pita chips, veggies, or spread onto a sandwich. Yummy!

I buy a similar white bean hummus which is silly as I could just make it. I think the only difference in the one I buy to yours is there's garlic added to mine. It's delicious though, I love it!

I have been slowly coming around to hummus. It seems I like it more and more each time I try it. I haven;t actually tried to make it myself yet but I really should give it a try!

Brenda - No more excuses. Haha! I have never seen white bean hummus for sale in our stores. On second thought, I guess I have no reason to look for it now.

Brandie - Using the white beans tasted so much better to me than garbanzo beans. Very smooth and creamy.

I love using white beans in dips - they're so creamy, perfect for a summer dip. This simple dip would be perfect for a summer BBQ or snack.
